It was bugged. They said that they'd try to fix it; if it worked they would have put it back in, if it didn't they said they're just going to put it aside. Guess what happened. I don't know why this is still confusing people.

Do I really need to list all the stuff we've gotten in the past year, again? They haven't been as consistent as we'd like, but we have gotten a lot of nice updates, so claiming that they've done "nothing" is just wrong.
To people upset that you're only getting a week to play with the changes: that's why they're releasing the notes this week. It's either this, or you get to play in another stale mAT. Personally I'd think any change-up would be favorable at this point, at least it'd be a little interesting.

Why? So the QQing can begin anew on Guru about how they hate what was done in the update? Guru needs a breather, lol.
Also PvX will be flooded with theory test builds more than ever, lol. Will probably crash them!

Clearly you are thinking of Super Bowl commercials from back in the day. The commercials have been less than super for a few years now.

Because it's ArenaNet, which has proven time and again that it's unbelievably impenetrable to good ideas and solid planning.

I think it's a nice idea to have it done short notice before the MAT. That way people will have less time to find the best broken build and therefore it lessens the likelihood of there being duplicate builds.
Of course many ppl will still sense which skills are better but it may not give them enough time to finalize on the holy build.
I haven't played PvP for a long time and personally I think I'm going to wait till GW2 to give it a shot cos right now I'm just a rank 3 and with all the elitism out there I'd rather not stick my head out.
Anyways, just my 0.02c

"Please note that these preliminary update notes are subject to change, and my not reflect the final changes that you will see next week."
I admit I only read page one, but I was suprised nobody else commented on that part. This tells me that they aren't telling us anything.

The National Footbal League Final... only one of the most worldwide televised sporting events of the year... and basicually an unwitten holiday in America. Filled with Pizza, Wings, Drinks, Chilli and BBQ... and you sit around the TV with all this food and drink for four and a half hours of one of the best sports in the world... a fairly good music concert... and some bezarre commercials that cost over a million bucks. FUN TIMES!

In short, it means that testing the skills may reveal things that need further adjustments, so the preliminary updates aren't 100% solid. They'll be as good as you'll get though, and it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to try and start planning what to run once you see them, regardless of how they might be different when they're actually out.

From my interpretation of what she's saying, we're getting the notes one week before monthly tournaments (this week/weekend). We're getting the actual release of skill updates two days before (next week, presumably Thursday). Have fun being more mad.

Mat should be interesting, I understand there's going to be quite the shakeup. An explosively different meta will be a breath of fresh air!

A fresh, steaming pile of crap is better than a five-month-old, rubbery, dry piece of crap.

Yeah, at least most gvgers I know would rather have a skill update than to let the mAT schedule act as a delay excuse. To be honest the worse news is that the laggy pve event is going to be reactivated during the monthly for the second month in a row.
